What do the work, experiences, and realities of authors in exile in Berlin or other parts of Germany look like? In regular evening events in the Literatures in Exile series, two authors from different countries present their texts and discuss their experiences of exile as well as opportunities and challenges in the (German) literary scene.
On 14 May 2024, writer and human rights activist Ma Thida from Myanmar and the Egyptian-Sudanese comic artist and political cartoonist Mohamed Anwar will share the stage. The evening will be moderated by Per Brandt (Martin Roth-Initiative).
